Drop Into Your Body
One of the most challenging things for spirit-led people to do on their journey is to be at home in our human bodies, to drop in, to embody enough grace and power to embrace this human experience entirely.
Some of us have run so far away from ourselves during periods of survival that we forgot to come back home to ourselves.
WORDS TO GROUND INTO:
Deep within the highs and lows, joys and sufferings, and terrains and weather, is 'the process' and 'the journey' that we're here to embark on, endure, outlast, and overcome. It can be all too comforting and tempting to remain hidden in the safe inner monastery or inner temple of our spiritual being, but we are being chosen, called, and created to live from all of ourselves. Full integration of body and spirit is what this earthly realm requires to pass through it effectively. With that, is one other aspect to integrate: the element of mind.
The mind is the bridge between the spirit and the body. The conscious and subconscious minds are our greatest tools when allowed to remain open and expand in higher vibrations. Whenever I make the shift in my subconscious mind from thinking that I can't do something to the belief that I can, I can. Two books enlightened me about the power of belief: The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy and Think Rich and Grow by Napoleon Hill.
All of this ties into three dynamics on our daily journey: taking up more space in our bodies, feeling strengthened and inspired in our bodies, and feeling at home in our bodies, all in order to actualize the fullness and potential of our spirit-mind-body being and its higher-purpose here.
A Reflection Practice for:
Dropping In
Whenever I'm being called and inspired to grow or show up, I observe within. I look to see if my body is fortified and strengthened.
Am I resting, physically healthy, and self-caring? Am I eating foods that empower me?
I also look to see if my conscious and subconscious minds are in harmonious belief and alignment with one another. Are there any mental blocks I have to dismantle and remove?
Do I believe in fear, mental programming that doesn't serve me, or doubt? I then ask my spirit to drop into the specific space I'm being divinely called to occupy.
What are you being called to embark on, endure, outlast, and/or overcome right now and during this season?
How will you drop in?
My plan of action is above, what's yours? Have you realized yours or created one? Feel free to adapt the method I use and pass it forward to anyone in the face of their own call to action.
Accordingly, I vibrate higher in any areas that require elevating and more spiritual and mental discipline. Most importantly, I journey in grace along the way.
These following words by Thich Nhat Hanh gently and effectively guide me back to my body and human process. May they guide you too.
