Q&A

About

With faith as our guide, we’ll take practical steps to bridge the gap between fear and divine alignment. It’s time to release what weighs you down, embrace your fullness, and free the radiant light within you that’s ready to shine outwardly.

The journey isn’t about rushing or forcing, it’s about steady, intentional moments of courage and faith that free your spirit and align you with your higher purpose and divine life path. Bridging faith and fear is the sacred work here we’ll do this month.

CLASS NOTES

Introduction to the Theme

  • What Is Fear?

  • Fear is a consciousness that blocks alignment with faith, purpose, and our divine life path.

  • Why Freeing Your Light Matters: Addressing fear allows us to embody our divine potential and live aligned with our faith as as individuals and conduits.

  • Personal Connection: Share a quick relatable story from my journey

Understanding Fear as a Consciousness

  • Fear as a mindset: How it wires itself into thoughts, decisions, and actions.

  • Fear is an illusion of separation from The Divine. Reframe it as a signal and invitation for growth.

  • When fear creeps up on me, I affirm my connection to then divine and to divine alignment. (and assignment as a conduit)

Moving from Fear to Faith cont.

  • Faith as the antidote to fear. It takes cultivating trust in divine alignment.

  • Faith is choosing to see beyond appearances and align with truth and love.

  • All of the sacred texts and poems and mystical teachings teach us that faith over fear is the way to higher alignment and higher, divine consciousness.

Living in Divine Alignment

  • Alignment means embodying courage and taking consistent, faith-filled action.

  • Radiating and vibrating from divine alignment strengthens your light, and makes fear powerless.

  • Vibrate higher daily. Maintain daily alignment through mindset shifts and anchoring in your faith.

Understanding Fear as a Consciousness Deeper

Fear is more than just an emotion, it’s a consciousness, a mindset. It wires itself into our thoughts and decisions, shaping the stories we tell ourselves about what’s possible.

But here’s the truth: Fear is an illusion. It’s born from the belief that we’re separate from the divine, that we’re unworthy, or that we’re alone.

When we identify fear for what it is, an opportunity to grow, we take away its power.

Think about this: What if fear wasn’t something to avoid, but something to face with curiosity? What might it be trying to teach you? Fear often points us to areas of transformation and expansion, where we’re being called to grow and evolve to. Imagine that.

Moving from Fear to Faith

The antidote to fear is faith. Faith is the bridge, it shifts our focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant, from what’s uncertain to what’s divinely aligned.

Faith requires us to trust in what we cannot see. In Frances W. Foulks’ Effectual Prayer, she reminds us that faith is about turning our thoughts away from appearances and toward divine truth. When we place our faith in The Divine’s infinite wisdom and power, fear begins to dissolve.

The Growth Spectrum

High-Risk Zone: The Risks of Moving Too Far, Too Soon

As Pema Chödrön teaches, the high-risk zone is not just overwhelming, it can also be traumatizing when we step into it prematurely. This zone occurs where we move forward without readiness (not to be confused with fear) or are pushed beyond our capacity, emotionally, energetically, or in our nervous system, without the proper tools, readiness, or foundation to support us. Entering this zone prematurely can halt our progress. This is a space to avoid when we are not ready.

In this state, we are not able to learn or grow effectively because the challenge is too much for us at this time. The experience may lead to further depletion, fear, or even retraumatization, making it harder to engage with challenges in the future. Recognizing when we are in the high-risk zone and stepping back is an act of self-compassion and wisdom, not failure.

Challenge Zone: Pushing the Edge of Growth

The challenge zone, as Pema describes, is the space where real growth and transformation occur. It’s uncomfortable but manageable. Here, we push the edges of what we know, expand our resilience, begin to integrate new ways of thinking and being. The challenge zone is where we stay just outside our comfort but within our capacity.

In the challenge zone, we can take risks, make mistakes, and learn without being overwhelmed or feeling judged. It’s a space of discovery and rebirth. The key to thriving here is maintaining a willingness to engage with discomfort while staying connected to our inner resources.

Pushing the Edge

  • Practice curiosity and courage: Explore what lies just beyond your comfort zone, but pause when it begins to feel overwhelming.

  • Build resilience: Use small, intentional steps to stretch your capacity without overextending yourself.

My Takeaways:

Pema emphasizes that the comfort zone is not inherently negative. It’s a necessary space for rest, restoration, grounding, and gathering strength. However, when we treat the comfort zone for too long or as a permanent destination, it becomes constrictive, and begins to shrink in on us.

But, when we step out of the comfort zone with willingness and intention, it becomes a positive, expansive space.

This Creates a Ripple Effect

  • The comfort zone becomes a place of ease and empowerment.

  • The challenge zone transforms into a more accessible space for learning and growth.

  • The high-risk zone becomes less daunting and more workable over time.

Willingness and Workability: The Key to Transformation

This willingness to engage with challenges allows us to shift our relationship with discomfort, fear, and faith. As we practice stepping out of the shadows of our lives, we find that what once felt unmanageable becomes a natural part of our growth journey.

As Pema Chödrön teaches, the entire spectrum, comfort, challenge, and high-risk zones, becomes more workable when we are willing to engage. The willingness to face discomfort creates new opportunities for learning and growth. It also creates new cycles, as it shifts challenge zone to the comfort zone and the high-risk zone into the challenge zone, making even the hardest aspects of life feel more manageable.

Recap

  • Fear is a teacher but not your truth.

  • Faith is the bridge to divine alignment.

  • Living in alignment frees your light to shine at full capacity.

  • Shining courageously at your authentic capacity is your most aligned and magnetic frequency. Miracles, divine opportunities, healing, and abundance happen here.

  • Recognize which zone you’re in and move in wisdom and self-love.

  • Your capacity will grow and expand with your willingness to grow.
